Automatic carriage return with wavelink

$

Hello,

I use the wavelink TelnetCE Version 7.0.01 on a Windows CE (Motorola MC9100). Is there an option in the wavelink software for an automatic carriage return? I think about a putty client. With a putty client I can change the size from the terminal windows and at the end of a line putty makes an automaticc carriage return.

Is that also possible with wavelink TelnetCE?

Thank you for any help

RFID usage problem from script

I'm sorry Cachilli,  but I tried what you told me about the way to enable/disable RFID from a script, and I noticed that don't works.

I don't know if I'm wrong or I understood not correctly.

I tried a simple:

Script( RFID_ON )

Activate( From_Menu )

    Escape_Sequence( "$1" )

    Return

I went on mine right screen with an input field and called manually the script I created, but without success.

It seems to launch it, but when I push the trigger it don't read and start the laser scanner reader, not the RFID reader.

I need a simple example script who let me enable/disable RFID.

Thanks

Problem with the scanner in a M3 Mobile Sky device

Environment:

Telnet CE client on a M3 Mobile Sky device or other M3 mobile device

Problem:

The scanner works properly with other aplications (for example the Word Mobile), but when I launch the terminal emulation it doesn't works (there is no response when pressing the scanner buttons)

Resolution:

I solved the problem: the parameter "OS Handles All Special Keys", wich default value is disabled, must be enabled.

Incorrect scanning with a COM Scanner

$

Problem:

When scannng with a COM scanner, some of my scans are split or only some of the scan data makes it through

Example:

Barcode: 1234567890

Scan data: 1234

Resolution:

to resolve this issue there are a few steps to perform on both the scanner itself and with in the Wavelink Terminal Emulation..

Steps to resolve:

Use Com Start/End Chars
A start character and end character can be specified to prevent noise or other unwanted data from being used from the com port.  Only data between the start and end characters will be used.  To enable the use of the start and end characters, select "Use Start and End" for this option.

If incoming data is being split or combined incorrectly, then the "Use only End" or the "Use Start and End" option can be used.  If the "Use only End" option is used, then the incoming data is queued until the End character is received.  The start and/or end characters will be discarded.

Default = Disabled

This value was changed to "Use Start and End"

Start and End.JPG

Once this has been completed you will now need to set up the scanner. You can do so by scanning the attached sheet of bar codes.

Change default size of virtual keyboard

Hi all,

I have created a new virtual keyboard in the Wavelink TE application. I starts automatically when connecting to the telnet server. But the size is very small as we use a full quertz keyboard with additional function keys. Manually resizing the virtual keyboard after each start is no solution so I’d like to know how I can change the default size of the virtual keyboard after startup. Is it also possible to change the startup position of the keyboard?

Many thanks in advance.

Troubleshooting Bluetooth or External Scanner with TE

This document has been written in regards to utilizing a Bluetooth scanner with Wavelink TE that is being controlled by the OS.

Environment:

  • Bluetooth ready handheld
  • Bluetooth Scanner
  • OS controlling external scanner

Problem/Issue:

Device will allow for Bluetooth scanner to work outside of Wavelink TE but once user is within Wavelink TE Environment, the scanner will no longer generate a beam.

Resolution:

Within Emulation Parameters make your way to Scanner -> Common

Alter Disable Scanner to Yes and No Scanner Configuration to Do Not Configure Scanner.

Optionally you may need to set Default Scanner to be listed as the device name such as Bluetooth Scanner.

WT4100 StartUp Problem

We just got new WT4100 from our distributor. Using with TelnetCE at version 7.3.144 (5250 and WT100 sessions). The problem we are facing is that after boot an aoutostrup applican  (WT41NOSTARTUP) is automatically launced by the system. This application is undesired and in conflict wiith the one (TelnetCE) we configured to startup.

The main question is how to remove the WT41NOSTARTUP application from startup. We already checked that the application is not defined into the startup folder. Also can see that the WT41NOSTARTUP has a shortcut onto the desktop. If we remove from the desktop at next boot it reappers.

Regard Antonio.
