How to print / pair from a WT410N CE7 device to a bluetooth printer
Hello,
I have a Windows CE7 WT410N device that I'm trying to pair to a Zebra QLn420 printer. I can print fine to this printer using an older WT4090 device, but I cannot get the client to print on the new one. When I try to pair, I get a "Allow or Disallow pairing" confirmation dialog box that I would like to not be there. Is there a way to disable this so the device pairs like it once did with the WT4090's? Appreciate any help.
Which folders are used by SSH installation package in W7 PC during installation into HC700
Background of the question is that i don't have admin rights in PC and without them i'm unable to install the software into handheld device. When the file is executed as admin, it works, now i would need a list of folder it uses, so i could request sufficient rights into those folders.
Can't Clear the line after a Bad Scan in VT Host
Environment: TelnetCE client, Connected to a VT Host and when a bad barcode scan, they need to press multiple keypress (Backspace) to remove the scan.
Problem: Bad scan stays in field with cursor on the last position.
Cause: Bad barcode, won't enter field.
Solution/Workaround: set a key macro for a specific keypress to do a backspace delete multiple times.
Example: change "Backspace" to a "Backspace Delete", and have it enter 6 times to remove six characters. (0008:\007F\007F\007F\007F\007F\007F).
Does Wavelink TelnetCE support Chinese (We are using a Motorola MC9190-G gun)?
Does Wavelink TelnetCE support Chinese (We are using a Motorola MC9190-G gun)?
When We look for Chinese in the localization configuration, We do not find the Chinese option.
¿Should our MC9190-G have a Chinese-localized WinCE for the TelnetCE software to support Chinese?
Please advice.

How To: Get Avalanche Property On WT4090
Hi All,
on WT4090 I have to use Pre licenced version of Wavelink
with it I need to use a script with action Get Avalanche Property
but It is possible to use this Action with version 7.3.xx but it's not available with 7.0.x ( pre licensed version)
does exist a workaround?
I need to use it because on VT220 emulation I have 2 autologin ( first with Georgia and second with the application)
for the first one I use Autologin
for the second one I use a script with the Avalanche ID ( it's why I need to use action get Avalanche Property )
Thanks
regards,
Seb

How do I configure TelnetCE to accept input from a Bluetooth device on my MC9090
We have an application running through TelnetCE on our MC9090 terminals, that needs to be able to accept input from the keyboard, the inbuilt scanner, and at a specific input point, from an external bluetooth thermometer. I understand that the data from the thermometer will come into the bluetooth buffer as a character string, but how do we route that to TelnetCE?

Telnet does not fit on the VC70N0 display
Environment: TelnetCE v7.3.xx client installed on a Motorola VC70N0 device. Wanting the TelnetCE to cover the full screen. This will also work on older TelnetCE clients and other devices with large displays.
Problem: When TelnetCE is launched on the device, it does not cover the screen to all sides. TelnetCE is needed in full screen.
Solution/ Workaround: There are two settings in the Emulation Parameters you will want to Enable. Stretch Screen Height, and Stretch Screen Width.
These settings are "disabled" by default.
Save the settings and send the configuration to the device. Make sure to restart the TelnetCE client on the device.
Installing Telnet Client on a Mobile Device using Active Sync
Installing Telnet Client on a Mobile Device using Active Sync
To install and run Telnet Client, you need the following components:
• A host computer with Windows Mobile Device Center, or Microsoft ActiveSync 3.7 or newer
•A mobile device with a connection to the computer.
• The Telnet Client installation file saved to the host computer it should appear under Programs as Wavelink TelnetCE folder and in there you should have your TE Client install. Please make sure that you have the right Telnet Client for your device.
To install the Telnet Client using ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center:
1. Connect the device to the host computer and verify the connection was successful.
2. Double-click on the Wavelink TelnetCE.
Wavelink Product Configuration should launch on your desktop see picture below:
3. Configure the Host Profile Settings by clicking on Host Profile. The Host Profile Settings has a lot of configurations available as you need.
4. Configure the Emulation Parameters by selecting Emulation Parameters. The Emulation Parameters provides emulation options. Use the tree structure on the Folders to navigate the available options.
You should see something like this:
5. When you are done with the Emulation Settings and Host Profile etc. save the changes and still with the device connected to the host computer click on Application & Config. You can also use Application only if you only want TE Client installed on the device without configuration. The Config Only option is used to make changes on the settings once the TE client is already installed on the device.
6. Click Yes to install the Client in the default directory, or browse to the location where you want to install the Client.
The TE is downloaded to the device. After the download is complete, a dialog box appears, requesting that you check your mobile device to see whether additional steps are necessary to install the TE Client.
7. If required, perform any additional steps on the mobile device.
8. In the installer, click OK to complete the download process.
9. In the installer, click Finish to complete the installation process

barcode scan error
Wavelink TE Version 7.3.135 on Honeywell Dolphin 7600
Some product barcodes do not scan correctly in the Wavelink Telnet session. For Example; We have a Product Code RN2944 for which we use Free 3 of 9 font to generate a barcode in WordPad. However, when scanned, in the Wavelink session this translates as 792798340
However the same Barcode scans ok in a MS Word session on the same Scanner.
Are there any config settings we can tweak or any other troubleshooting tips?
Scripting - Enable / Disable integrated scanner / RFID
The following scripts will allow for the scanner to be turned on or off. Be careful when using these scripts.. if you turn off the scanner do not forget to turn it back on.
Disable Scanner:
Script( Scanner_Disable )
Escape_Sequence( "%0S" )
Return
Enable Scanner:
Script( Scanner_Enable )
Escape_Sequence( "%1S" )
Return
Enable scan Trigger:
Script( ScanTrigger_Enable )
Activate( From_Menu )
Escape_Sequence( "%6;1S" )
Return
Disable Scan Trigger:
Script( ScanTrigger_Enable )
Activate( From_Menu )
Escape_Sequence( "%6;0S" )
Return
This type of script is normally used in conjunction with the Screen Reformatter to better handle of when to enable / disable the scanner on particular screens.
Escape Sequence defined:
Sets the scanner to be enabled/disabled after successful scans, where Pb is the bar code type scanned and Ps is the scanner setting to be set:
Pb=0 After no scans (Ps ignored); disables mode
Pb=1 After all scans
Pb=2 After 1-D bar code scans
Pb=3 After 2-D bar code scans
Pb=4 Return current setting (Ps ignored). Returns:
ESC % ? <type> ; <setting> A
Ps=0 Set mode off
Ps=1 Set mode on
Soft Trigger:
Pn=6 Soft Trigger. Disable 6 trigger.
Pn=6 Soft Trigger. Enable soft trigger.
Example:
ESC % 6 ; 0 S
ESC % 6 ; 1 S
Custom Sequence:
ESC % Pb ; Ps A
RFID Enable and Disable:
Format: ESC $ Pe ; Pr R
PE=0 Disable RFID
Pe=1 Enable RFID
Pe=2 Don't change RFID state
Pr=0 Don't return new state
Pr=1 Return new state
if Pr=1, it returns ESC $ Pe R
Where Pe=0 if the RFID reader is disabled, or Pe=1 if the RFID reader is enabled
(The command ESC $ 2; 0 R is valid, but will do nothing)
Telnet CE 7.3 RFID on MC3190Z
Hello
I have 3 new MC3190Z with TelnetCE 7.3 installed. I am adding the VT220 instructions to the server to capture the tags read.
All of the TelnetCE RFID configuration options are at the defaults except for:
RFID Insert Mode is set to 'When Detected"
I send Esc("$C") to the reader to clear the tag memory
I send Esc("$1;0R") to enable the reader and not request a reply.
I then wait for the reader to reply with the tag information
The user pulls the trigger and starts scanning.. The reader replies with the 24 character hex tag information as the tags are read.
How do I sense when the user has released the trigger so I can start processing?
Thank you
Laurie Borlase.
