Access to printer on Avery Pathfinder 6057

Hello,

we are currently testing Wavelink TE on an Avery Pathfinder 6057 and experiencing an issue while printing through ANSI codes.

The print job get sent to the terminal and a black box "Printing" appears; however no output goes to the printer.

The printer is defined as "PATHFINDER" connected to port COM1: but I don't know if this setting is correct; however the same file when sent via FTP to a specific folder on the device gets printed.

Is there a way to have Wavelink write the print data received to a folder rather than send it to a COM port?

How to resolve a license issue on the Wavelink TelnetCE client that should be pre-licensed?

Wavelink, TelnetCE, pre-licensed client

Details

These possible solutions will help you if you find your device has lost a license or is no longer pre-licensed for TelnetCE.
Is your device pre-licensed?

  • Check Serial number and verify that the first five digits correspond to the build date: YYDDD
  • For WM/CE devices you will want to make sure that your device is a Gun style device. No Short, Brick, or Rotating head devices will be pre-licensed.
  • WT4xxx, VC50xx, and VC70N0 will also be pre-licensed. Check the Mfg. Date to verify for what version.

Is the client correct for the device? If not the license will not apply as expected.

  • Verify the OS is either Windows Mobile, or CE (has a control panel).
  • What is the Hardware model?
  • Does the version of the TelnetCE PC configuration Tool reflect this in the title of the tool?

Is the version of the TelnetCE client pre-licensed for the hardware your installing it on?

  • If your pre-licensed device was manufactured before 1/1/2012, then you should use the 7.0.x client.
  • If your pre-licensed device was manufactured after 1/1/2012, then you should use the 7.3.x client.

cn51 does not read barcode if auto enter defined in postamble (\r)

Hello,

 

One of our customer has been bought your universal terminal emulation license for Intermec CN51.They have approx. 80 devices on their location.

 

They would like to connect their SAP system via emulation.Their operation is working without autoenter in postamble.But the barcode data is not shown on the screen when we read a barcode if we add \r to thepostamble section.

 

How can we solve this problem ?

 

TElnet version is 7.3.225.

Please reply asap.

need assistance with TE Scan handler please. would like to read any label with 12 characters. if ends on "U" reads all label. if not ends on "U" delete last 4 characters.

so far I was able to delete last 4 digits A(12)[SE4].

why doesent SSH connection close on disconnect

Im running Velocity 2.0.2 and connecting to a Unix Server with ssh. The program does auto-login fine, however when I log off the server I get a blank screen until I hit a key. At that point I get an error - "Connection Lost" -Cannot access a disposed object. Object name 'ShellStream' 

 

I have to hit OK and it takes me back to the start up screen where my host profiles are shown. The only way I can exit the program is to actually exit out of the app the Android way.  I want the program to simply close once I log off. Is that possible?

Dear All,

              We have requested some charter issue for the solution couple of month back. please check the previews mail about our conversation in this the case number 01441798. As per the test result the OMNII XT 15 interstitial  browser perfectly fine with WAP G4 device that (.) dot characters working fine with universal license but the challenge is we are facing another issue when we type one character that is coming three time for and example:- if we typed character "a"  that is appearing "aaa".   please advise the permanent solution. thank you.

Picklist Mode is Causing Scan Stability/Slowness Issues

Cause: Poor 1D scanning is being toggled at application start

 

Resolution:

 

Locate the cfgmgr.ini or cfgmgr.cfg file in the install location of the config utility.

 

Typical path is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Wavelink\TelnetCE\

 

Modify or add the following lines (SYM3100 is for all scanner models):

 

Under the ; Device-Specific heading:

 

Include=SYM3100

Inlcude=SYMSCAN

 

Under the ; Common Scan Parameters heading make sure that this line is commented out with the semicolon:

 

;Include=NO_SCAN_COMMON

Dear All,

             We have requested for WAP G4 interstitial browser issue that still there is no permanent solution. Please check the previous conversion in this is the case id (01441798). We have tried with Omni xt15”WLTE_PSI_OMNII_CE6_LANG_7_3_303_AS" to WAP G4 device, after installation we had tested this application we found the issue, when we type any characters latter that come with three time for example : if we type "a" that is coming three time "aaa". Please do the needful.

How to setup TelnetCE to use SSH

Environment:

Windows CE or Windows Mobile device running TelnetCE

TelnetCE 7.x and newer

 

How to set up TelnetCE to use SSH:

Make sure that you have Windows Mobile device center open and connected to the device. Press "Connect with setting up the device". Then you can minimize the mobile device center application while you perform the following steps:

 

  1. Install the support top support package meant for the device (onto the client)
  2. Install the support package for the computer
    For Steps 1 & 2, go to http://www.wavelink.com/Download-Emulation-SSH-Software/  and download both of the highlighted downloads below:
  3. Open TelnetCE Configuration Utility


  4. Select Host Profiles
  5. Check the box for SSH at the bottom
  6. Click on the SSH tab
  7. Check the box for the private key
  8. Click "private key selection"
  9. Load private key and then navigate to your .ppk .
    You should then see the key, key fingerprint, and key comment.
  10. If you have a passphrase, enter this now, but it is not required
  11. Press Done
  12. Press "Add Current Host Keys"
  13. You will receive a message confirming this is complete
  14. Press OK
  15. Make sure that TelnetCE is closed on the device
  16. Press "Config Only"
  17. Once the settings are sent to the device, open TelnetCE and press enter to connect to your host

VC70 SSI Mode with LS type scanners

This document goes through the steps to set up SSI scanning with in TE.

 

1. Configure the emulation parameters:

               a. Default Scanner = External SSI

               b. Use Com Input / Output = Yes

2. Obtain the barcodes for your SSI scanner

               a. SSI Barcodes

After the scanner has been set up, start TE and scan. Make sure that any external scanning software is disabled.

Telnet CE WAVELINK TM Enable GS1-128

My company is using RF Terminal -  Motorola MC3100, it connected to telnet by WAVELINK Terminal Emulation

 

Existing, required to scan the GS1-128 barcode, may I know how to enable this function on WAVELINK TM? It requred when is GS1-128 barcode, add-in )C1 Code in front when scanning.

Scripting: Disconnect from host on Error

Problem:

Users at times experience Error 404 or Error 500 and do not disconnect from the host in a graceful manor.

 

Environment:

Wavelink Terminal Emulation

Web Emulation

 

Solution:

Aside from user training, you can force a disconnect upon receiving an error from the host. With in TE Scripting there is an option called Web_Search_Source. this feature will allow the script to search the page source for a particular word. Once this key word has been found we can apply an action to it, such a a message pop up or disconnect or a combination of both.

 

** Caution must be given when using this functionality as the key word with in the source can NOT be present on any other page(s) **

 

below is a sample script that searches a pages source, looks for a key word, displays a warning type message and then disconnects from the host..

 

Script( Search )

Activate( Screen_Update )

    bSearch = Web_Search_Source( "KEYWORDINSOURCE", TRUE, TRUE )

    If( bSearch )

        Message( "Disconnecting in 5 seconds", 5 )

Issue:

The device will show the scan beam, but doesn't actually scan (or decode) the barcode

 

Resolution:

Under decoder settings within the Zebra Datawedge, check the box for Enable Plain Code 128

SAP Client Authentication Certificate Error TE - Windows Mobile and CE

Error: Client Authentication Certificate Needed

 

When  SAP is configured to request certificates within the SAP Web Dispatcher some mobile browsers including Web Emulation within TelNet will present the above errorSAP Web dispatcher and Pocket IE. These browsers seem to present the issue whereas it might not present on desktop browsers.

 

Solution: This issue resides outside of Ivanti software and must be resolved Within SAP Web Dispatcher. To resolve this set the SAP Web Dispatcher settings to 'Never Request' a certificate.
